Let Freedom Read Day will be held on October 11th. This is a call for social media posts with the hashtags #LetFreedomReadDay and #Banned Books Week. Some ideas for what to do are: calling or writing to an elected official to express opinions, contribute to advocacy organizations, joining Unite Against Book Bans, heading to the library to see what banned books it has to offer, supporting a bookshop by buying banned books for yourself or to share with others through donations, attending a meeting (community, school board), volunteering at a local library, and/or seeking to be an informed voter (Let Freedom Read Day | Banned Books Week).
